Balatro to Lead PlayStation Plus Catalog for May 2025

PS Plus subscribers can claim three free titles: Balatro, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, and Ark: Survival Ascended from May 6 to June 2. The month of May provides four less free titles than April, which had a total of seven free games. 

Balatro | PS5, PS4 

“Balatro is a roguelike deckbuilding poker game developed by LocalThunk. Players will utilize illegal poker hands, discover game-changing jokers, and string intricate combos together to reign supreme. The game is fitted with an in-depth campaign mode with 8 difficulty modes alongside challenge, daily, and seeded runs. Balatro is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, Nintendo Switch, and PC.”

Ark: Survival Ascended | PS5

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun

In addition, Sony is removing 22 games from their PlayStation Plus catalog on May 20 – many of the titles are from previous generation consoles. Here are the 22 games games being removed, as according to IGN:

PlayStation Plus is Sony’s online subscription service; they include monthly free titles that can be downloaded and played as long as the user continues their PlayStation Plus subscription.
