Ubisoft revealed their planned content roadmap for year 1 of Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ release. The year 1 post launch roadmap adds paid DLC Claws of Awaji – the release date has not yet been revealed. The paid Assassin’s Creed Shadows DLC will be available for free for those who pre-ordered Shadows – the DLC adds new enemies, new abilities for both characters, and a new weapon specific to Nanoe.

To be included in a future update is a feature to play New Game+, a feature returning from previous Assassin’s Creed titles. This gameplay option allows players to replay the main story while retaining their progress, thereby keeping their items, abilities, and upgrades. 

“Our post-launch plan is shaped by ongoing community feedback and a commitment to keeping the world alive with new free quests, feature updates, Codex expansions, special collaborations, and community-driven improvements,” Ubisoft said in their year 1 roadmap YouTube video.

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on March 20, 2025. The game transports players to late 16th-century Japan, a period marked by widespread civil strife and profound cultural shifts
