Crusader Kings III Hits 4 Million Copies Sold Ahead of New Expansion’s Launch

Crusader Kings III has surpassed 4 million copies sold across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, according to the game’s developer and publisher, Paradox Interactive.

As was earlier reported by Gaming.News, the game is about to receive a new expansion, Khans of the Steppe, on April 28, 2025, which comes as part of the title’s fourth chapter.

The third major installment in the series was launched on March 29, 2022, surpassing 1 million copies within its first month of release in September 2020, reaching 2 million units by March 2022 and selling over 3 million copies as of September 2023.

Just like its predecessors, Crusader Kings III is a strategy game and dynasty simulator set in the Middle Ages. Within the first three chapters, the game has received ten expansions, and two more are planned for the fourth chapter after the release of Khans of the Steppe.
