PEGI Has Rated Assassin’s Creed Shadows for the Nintendo Switch 2

|
- The PEGI website has rated Assassin’s Creed Shadows for the Nintendo Switch 2
- The rating has a possibility of being an error from PEGI’s side or an early tell that the game is going to be released on the console.
- Assassin’s Creed Shadows was released on March 20, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, macOS, and PC.
According to the PEGI website, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been rated for the Nintendo Switch 2. Oftentimes, this follows the announcement of the rated game’s release on the platform it was rated for. However, it’s also possible that the rating is a result of an error.
One thing to point out is that Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ rating for the Nintendo Switch 2 only appears in the “Most Searched Games” window. Looking up the game using the site’s search bar will yield a result that does not list the Nintendo Switch 2 in the platforms it was rated for.
Another example of a rating body making an error is with Australia’s Classification Board, where Silent Hill f was rated as “Refused Classification.” However, the site pulled the page down, and the Classification Board provided a statement saying that the game is not banned and is “not currently classified as ‘Refused Classification.’”
On the other hand, Ubisoft has always shown love to Nintendo by porting Assassin’s Creed games to the platform as much as possible. Assassin’s Creed Black Flag and Rogue are both available through The Rebel Collection. The Ezio Collection is also available on the Switch, which contains Assassin’s Creed 2, Brotherhood, and Revelations.
Wccftech brings up a possible issue with Assassin’s Creed Shadows coming to the Switch 2. According to them, the Switch 2’s hardware might not be able to support the game because of its graphics and system. However, considering that the game is supposedly going to be released for the iPads, the Switch 2 might just be able to handle it.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows was released on March 20, 2025. The game was Ubisoft’s best day one launch on the PlayStation Store and has reached 3 million players in less than a week of its release.
