New Gameplay Trailer Drops for Horizon ‘Clone’ Light of Motiram

A new gameplay trailer for Light of Motiram, a game that resembles Guerrilla’s Horizon franchise, was published by Polaris Quest, a Chinese development studio owned by Tencent.

The trailer shows that the title Polaris Quest features clear gameplay differences, whereas the Horizon titles are action/adventure titles with some RPG elements. Light of Motiram, with its building system, is mostly a survival game with crafting elements where players must establish a base and defend it.

A major focus will be on managing how to tame Mechanimals, each with distinct abilities and growth paths. Players can tailor these creatures for various combat roles and production functions like wall construction.

The game’s combat system leans heavily into melee, emphasizing dodging, blocking, and counterattacking. On top of that, Light of Motiram also features cooperative multiplayer.

Light of Motiram has now been confirmed to be targeting a launch on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS as a free-to-play game.
