The new update 7.0 for Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 added a new PvE mission: Exfiltration. This mission takes place on Avarax, at the outskirts of an Imperial Hive City. Players must extract a rogue Tech-Priest and fight Trygon — a giant Tyranid that burrows underground, creating passageways for other Tyranid Organisms. 

In addition to the new PvE mission, Warhammer 40k: Space Marines 2 Patch 4.0 implemented a new private PvP feature. Within private PvP lobbies, players can invite fellow Space Marines and set their own rulings. 

Prestige Rank, a new feature that allows players to empower their class even after reaching the maximum level, is being implemented in PvE as well. To access this feature, you have to go to the Armouring Hall and follow the activation procedure in the Skill Tree screen.

  • New customisation options: 2 new colours, Bulwark cloth colouring, hands colouring

  • Space Wolves Chapter Pack
  • Imperial Fists Champion Pack

Gameplay & Balancing:

  • Extended weapon arsenal in PvE
  • Weapon perks updated in PvE
  • Improved Matchmaking in PvE and PvP
  • Various changes, bugfixes and improvements

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2 released on September 9, 2024  for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. The third-person action shooter game sold 4.5 million copies in just over a month, and was developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment
