Hardcore Mode with Punchable Face Perk Comes to Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Hardcore mode is coming to Kingdom Come Deliverance II in a week, according to the announcement from Warhorse Studios on April 7, 2025.

Along with the the announcement, the studio posted on X (formally Twitter) a picture of ten perks that the game’s protagonist, Henry, can inherit in the upcoming mode:

• Punchable Face
• Picky Eater
• Numbskull
• Somnambulant
• Bad Back
• Bashful
• Sweaty
• Menace
• Heavy Footed
• Hangry Henry

While the exact effects of the presented perks haven’t been revealed, it is clear that they all have negative connotations and will have adverse impacts on Henry’s interactions with the world.

Like in the first part of the series, Hardcore mode will cut off navigation tools, including Henry’s compass and pointer of his position on the map. Players will have to rely on traditional ways of looking at staff around the protagonist and navigating by using landmarks.

On top of that, according to the game’s roadmap, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will see multiple paid expansions coming in 2025, starting with a quest called Brushes With Death, in which Henry goes on a new adventure with a mysterious artist in summer that will be followed by Legacy of the Forge in autumn which will see Henry exploring the legacy of his adoptive father, restoring Kuttenberg’s forge, and becoming a master blacksmith. The roadmap will end in the winter of 2025 with Mysteria Ecclesia expansion, which will tell a story of Henry exploring the Sedletz Monastery and going on a mission to stop the spread of a deadly illness.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II sold over two million copies in less than two weeks from its launch. Besides that the game peaked with concurrent players number 256,206 on Steam as of the time of writing.
