  1. Ranked Mode released for Pokemon TCG Pocket on March 28, 2025.
  2. There are five main ranks: Beginner, Poke Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, and Master Ball Rank.
  3. Each rank has four tiers, and each rank up rewards pack hourglasses.

Pokemon TCG Pocket finally implemented a ranked mode – a feature the community had been asking for since the first release five months ago. The update arrived on March 28, 2025, providing competitively oriented players with a mode to effectively grind for exclusive in-game rewards.

There are five main ranks: Beginner Rank, Poke Ball Rank, Great Ball Rank, Ultra Ball Rank, and Master Ball Rank. The ranks were listed from lowest to highest – with Master Ball rank representing the highest echelon of Pocket TCG players.

Within each rank, up to Ultra Ball Rank, there are four separate tiers. Ranking up a tier provides players with hourglass rewards.

Here are all the Pokemon TCG Pocket Ranked Mode Rewards:

  • Master ball Rank 1-1000 (100 pack hourglasses)
  • Master ball Rank 1001-5000 (100 pack hourglasses)
  • Master ball Rank 5001-10000 (100 pack hourglasses)
  • Master ball Rank (95 pack hourglasses)
  • Ultra Ball Rank 4 (90 pack hourglasses)
  • Ultra Ball Rank 3 (85 pack hourglasses)
  • Ultra Ball Rank 2 (80 pack hourglasses)
  • Ultra Ball Rank 1 (75 pack hourglasses)
  • Great Ball Rank 4 (65 pack hourglasses)
  • Great Ball Rank 3 (60 pack hourglasses)
  • Great Ball Rank 2 (55 pack hourglasses)
  • Great Ball Rank 1 (50 pack hourglasses)
  • Poké Ball Rank 4 (45 pack hourglasses)
  • Poké Ball Rank 3 (40 pack hourglasses)
  • Poké ball Rank 2 (35 pack hourglasses)
  • Poké ball Rank 1 (30 pack hourglasses)
  • Beginner Rank 4 (25 pack hourglasses)
  • Beginner Rank 3 (20 pack hourglasses)
  • Beginner Rank 2 (15 pack hourglasses)
  • Beginner Rank 1 (10 pack hourglasses)

These rewards are only acquirable once per ranked cycle. For example, players cannot go up to Ultra Ball Rank 1 then drop back down to Great Ball Rank 4 then back up to Ultra Ball Rank 1 to acquire the reward twice – it is only redeemable once per ranked season.

Here are some other notes:

  • In beginner rank 1-4, the player will not lose rank points when defeated in battle.
  • Players can get additional rank points by winning consecutive battles.
  • In ranks up to Great Ball Rank 1, the player will not dorp down in rank as a result of being defeated in battle.

Each Pokemon TCG Pocket ranked season lasts around a month. Ranked Match Season A2B ends on April 26, 2025 at 10:59 PM PST. The game has had a robust tournament scene since its launch, with results being posted and statistically organized on pokemonmeta.
