  3. It is the first crossover with Godzilla’s Monsterverse franchise for PUBG Mobile.

Godzilla has officially landed in PUBG Mobile, bringing exclusive cosmetics kaiju companions within the new crossover event that will be running until May 6, 2025.

Collaboration’s lineup features Godzilla from the Monsterverse franchise, which started with the 2014th movie directed by Gareth Edwards, a reboot of Legendary Pictures’ series based on a fictional monster, also referred to as kaiju, that debuted in the 1954 film, directed and co-written by Ishirō Honda.

Besides Godzilla’s classic image, the crossover features Mechagodzilla and Burning Godzilla along with the three-headed King Ghidorah, which first appeared in Ishirō Honda’s 1964 film Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster.

During the event players can unlock Godzilla-themed outfits, helmets, backpacks and other gear by progressing through the event’s prize path or completing specific in-game tasks. Themed items will also be available through the Lucky Spin and Double Lucky Treasure events.

The highlight of the event is the two new Buddies, miniature companions of Burning Godzilla and King Ghidorah that can be tagged along into matches. It is worth noting that these companions don’t help in firefights, as they are just an unusual adornment of the battlefield.

It is not the first crossover that brings Godzilla to PUBG Mobile, as the previous Godzilla event in the game occurred in 2019. It was a collaboration with the movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Another crossover with Godzilla vs. Kong movie took place in 2021.

As of December 2024, PUBG Mobile has generated over $10 billion in revenue since its release in March 2018.
