Key points
  1. Chinese players E1uM4y and sharkOvO became the first who managed to conquer Split Fiction’s Laser Hell secret level.
  2. The players were promised by Hazelight’s director Josef Fares to be flown to Sweden to see the studio’s next game’s early footage.
  3. Later, Fares confirmed his promise via a congratulatory post to E1uM4y and sharkOvO on X (formerly Twitter).

An official invitation was officially extended by Hazelight Studios to a pair of players as they were the first who managed to complete the most brutal secret level in Split Fiction.

The challenge, called Laser Hell, appeared to be so difficult that even members of the Hazelight team struggled with it, according to the studio’s director, Josef Fares. This challenge, which can be found toward the end of Split Fiction’s Isolation chapter, requires players to find a hidden binary code on a Skotos signage and input it using elevator floor buttons in order to access the five-stage level with a high-intensity laser maze.

When two Chinese content creators, E1uM4y and sharkOvO, managed to overcome the Laser Hell, they saw a video message from Split Fiction’s director, Josef Fares, congratulating them, saying, “This challenge, there are barely people on our team that can make it. It took us a lot of time to finish it… This is a crazy, crazy achievement.” Besides words of congratulation in that video message, the studio’s director also promised to fly Laser Hell conquerors to Sweden saying they’ve earned themselves a sneak peek at Hazelight’s next project.

It is worth noting that Hazelight Studios’ director stuck to his word and confirmed on his social media that he would be inviting players to Sweden for an early look at the company’s next game. ‘’Congrats to sharkOvO and E1uM4y for finishing the secret challenge Laser Hell in Split Fiction. Very impressive! I will keep my promise and invite you both to Sweden for an early look of our next game,’’ said Fares in his post on X (formerly Twitter).
