Rockstar is trying to hook players back to Grand Theft Auto (GTA) Online by offering players who haven’t logged in to GTA Online in the last 60 days a free GTA$3 million. However, to get a majority of it, players will have to spend a little bit of their real life money.
According to the GTA Online site, players who have not logged into the game for 60 days will be able to receive a GTA$3 million welcome back package. But in reality, players will only receive a third of that for free.
Only GTA$1 million can be obtained by pressing the button on their website. To obtain the other GTA$2 million, players will have to open their wallets. The GTA$1.5 million is locked behind buying a Great White, Whale, or Megalodon Shark Card. These cards are $20, $50, and $100 respectively. To receive the other GTA$500,000, players need to be a GTA+ Member. That’s another $7.99 spent.
All in all, to be able to get the whole GTA$3 million, players will have to spend a minimum of $28. Alternatively, they can just grab the free no-fuss GTA$1 million and go about their merry way.
GTA Online was released back in 2013 and is the online component of Grand Theft Auto 5. The game had a popular phase on Twitch in 2019. Streamers all over the place are role-playing in GTA Online servers which boosted the game to be one of Twitch’s most watched games at the time. Since then, GTA Online has maintained its popularity.
