ESL DreamLeague Season 25 is about to start on Feb. 16, 2025, with sixteen of the world’s best Dota 2 teams battling it out for a $1,000,000 prize pool.

Besides the money, competitors are also earning points for the ESL Pro Tour, a year-round circuit that uses a ranking system for qualification for a major championship event. These points could get teams a coveted spot in the Riyadh Masters esports event with a $5,000,000 prize pool.

The tournament is divided into three stages: Group Stage 1, Group Stage 2, and the Playoffs. During Group Stage 1, 16 teams will be split into two groups, competing in a round-robin format. The top four teams from each group will advance to Group Stage 2, while the remaining teams will be eliminated. Group Stage 2 will whittle the field down further, with the top four teams earning a spot in the double-elimination playoffs. The ultimate champion will be crowned after a Best-of-Five grand final.
