Winning at DreamLeague Season 25 becomes the first major victory of the 2025 Dota 2 season for the Team Spirit esports organization.

Team Spirit started the tournament, dominating Group B, scoring a win-to-loss record of 5-2-0, having conceded just two maps and becoming the only unbeaten team of the Group Stage.

The team’s performance in the second group stage continued with a third-place finish, which was enough to secure a spot in the lower bracket semi-finals.

Then Facing Chimera Esports, Team Spirit battled through a close 2-1 victory before sweeping PARIVISION 2-0 to book their place in the grand final against The International 2022 champions, Tundra Esports.

The championship match saw intense back-and-forth action, with Team Spirit leading 2-1 heading into the fourth map. But the final two games got rescheduled as players Magomed ‘Collapse’ Khalilov and Denis ‘Larl’ Sigitov experienced connectivity issues 18 minutes into the game. Team Spirit later attributed the disruption to a DDoS attack, citing a ‘vulnerability inside Steam / Dota 2’. The attack forced an overnight delay, with the last two games rescheduled for March 4th. Despite the setback, Team Spirit closed out the series with a 3-2 victory over Tundra Esports.

With the DreamLeague Season 25 title in hand, Team Spirit walked away with $290,000 in prize money and 4,620 ESL Pro Tour points, reinforcing its second-place position in the standings.
