Epic Games Teases Fortnite’s Heist-Themed “Lawless” Season, and It’s a Big Dill

Epic Games has announced that Fortnite’s upcoming season, titled “Lawless,” will launch on February 21, 2025. This new season, the second in Chapter 6, shifts from the previous Japanese-inspired setting to a crime-themed environment set in “Crime City.” 

The official teaser image showcases a gritty urban landscape with neon signs, burning barrels, and scattered gold bars, suggesting a heist motif. Notably, wanted posters feature a revamped version of the character Midas, now sporting a modern look, and a new anthropomorphic pickle character named “Big Dill.” These characters are anticipated to be part of the upcoming battle pass. 

The teaser also hints at potential new mechanics, such as heists and vehicle thefts, indicating potential changes in Fortnite’s gameplay. 

Fortnite remains a dominant multiplayer game, averaging over 30 million daily active players and peaking at 2.45 million concurrent users. Developed by Epic Games and launched in 2017, the game features multiple modes, including Battle Royale, Save the World, and Creative Mode. Available on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch, Fortnite supports cross-platform play and continues to evolve with frequent updates, collaborations, and esports events, keeping its massive player base engaged.
