Fortnite Champions Series Major 1 Grand Finals Kicks Off On February 15

Fortnite Champions Series (FNCS) 2025 Major 1 Grand Finals is about to start on February 15. Over the two-day event 33 teams from seven regions will compete for their share of the prize pool and a spot in the Fortnite World Championship scheduled for September 6th to September 7th in Lyon, France.

The Major 1 event follows five weeks of Divisional Cups, where teams battled for a chance to make it into the Group Stage. From there, it’s all about surviving the Grand Finals for a shot at the World Championship. Though there will be a Last Chance Qualifier for teams that didn’t make it through the Group Stage, so it’s not over until the final match. 

In total, there will be three Majors, each gaining qualification for the FNCS World Championship. However, for Major 1, only the top two teams from Europe and North America Central will secure a direct ticket to the World Championship in September. 

Each of the seven regions, Europe, North America Central, North America West, Brazil, Asia, Middle East, and Oceania, will have its own regional Grand Finals, each with its own prize pool:

• Europe – $816,000,
• North America Central – $562,500,
• North America West and Brazil – $180,000,
• Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania – $90,000.

Fans of Fortnite esports can tune in to the 2025 FNCS Major 1 Grand Finals via Fortnite’s official Twitch and YouTube channels. This year’s tournament is expected to draw huge viewership after the record-breaking numbers seen during the 2024 Global Championship, which garnered peak viewing figures of 809,000.
