- The release date was officially announced by EA in their latest trailer for the title.
The official release date for F1 25 is on May 30, 2025. The racing game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. For players wanting to access the game early, they can purchase F1 25 Iconic Edition for three days early access – thereby unlocking the game on May 27 instead of May 30.
F1 25 Iconic Edition costs $79.99 while the standard edition costs $59.99. The values are in USD, and do not include sales tax.
According to the official Steam listing for the game, EA Sports’ F1 25 will support cross-platform play. This means players on Playstation, Xbox, and PC will be able to play with one another. The listing also notes that the game will have LAN PvP – this is essentially split screen multiplayer support, a function many multiplayer titles no longer support.
EA Sports created the very first F1 game in the year 2000. Codemaster, the current development team behind the upcoming F1 25, acquired the licensing for the series in 2008, releasing a game annually. EA acquired Codemaster in 2021, thereby gaining ownership of the franchise once again. F1 25 will be the official game of the 2025 Formula One World Championship.
