A new trailer for Fatal Fury: City of Wolves revealed Cristiano Ronaldo as a playable character. The collaboration was also shared by Ronaldo himself – who debuted the news on social media. 

“I’m going to be a character in the new fighting game FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves!” he said on X. The Twitter post hit over 7 million views just two hours after publishing. 

Cristiano Ronaldo’s move set in the upcoming Fatal Fury title largely consists of kicks, but he also throws out grapples alongside punches as well. The athlete, unsurprisingly, also uses a “soccer” ball or football in his combo – the ball changes between colors red and blue.

Fatal Fury: City of Wolves releases on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and 5, and PC on April 24, 2025. The game has currently officially revealed 15 playable characters thus far, a roster that now includes Cristiano Ronaldo. Here is a list of all the playable characters:

Fatal Fury is a classic fighting game franchise that began in the 90s. Its first iteration, Fatal Fury: King of Fighters, released in 1991 for the Neo Geo arcade and home system. The upcoming title, Fatal Fury: City of Wolves, is the first completely new entry to the series in over 20 years – with its predecessor, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, having released in 1999.
