InZOI announced a $40 price for its early access version, highlighting that all DLCs and updates will be free until the game’s official full launch.
An upcoming life simulation game developed by inZOI Studio with Krafton as a publisher is planned for an early access release for Windows on 28 March 2025, with a later release for current-gen consoles.
It is worth noting that the announced price equals the cost of the most expansive Sims 4 expansion pack, Businesses & Hobbies.
Besides the price announcement, InZOI’s director, Hyungjun “Kjun” Kim, outlined a roadmap that includes several planned major updates and new content throughout 2025.
Kjun revealed that players can expect four major updates over the next year, along with quarterly content drops, including new outfits and furniture.
The first major update, coming in May, will introduce a mod kit for tools like Maya and Blender, allowing players to create their own content. This update will also bring some gameplay changes, such as weight and muscle adjustments, improvements to the relationship system, and an adoption system. On top of that, in May, the game will also get new build mode features, outfit updates, and more customization options for characters.
In August, the game will introduce a “cat-themed city” in honor of International Cat Day, alongside a range of new features like swimming and pools, a more robust AI build mode, and the introduction of freelancer jobs. The roadmap reveals that in August text messages, skills, and parenting systems will also get improvements.
For October, Kjun announced updates that will enhance the game’s family dynamics, with better UI for moving homes, new furniture, and mod updates.
In December, the final update of the year will bring a new memory system, the ability to move between cities, and more interactive responses based on character traits. The team is also planning to introduce improvements to indoor temperature and the character development system.
It is worth mentioning that the game’s director also promised that InZOI will feature 16 different ways for characters to die.
“In InZOI, we have a lot of different types of death because life comes with death. In Inzoi, you could go to the bathroom, and if you slip, you might die. Or if you eat some old food, you might have to go to the bathroom and, again, die. And when you fix broken-down electronics you might get electrocuted, so you need to be careful. I made the chance really low, but actually, electronics can very often break down. We have 16 different types of deaths.” told Hyungjun “Kjun” Kim on the Inzoi online showcase.
