Key points
  1. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Patch 1.2 introduces barber shops in Zhelejov and Kuttenberg.
  2. The game from Warhorse also got Steam Workshop mod support and over 1,000 fixes and improvements.
  3. Combat, NPC behavior, and performance have been improved, as well alongside localization fixes and better audio on PlayStation 5.

The 1.2 update for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II  has arrived, bringing new cosmetics, Steam Workshop Mod Support options and a Barber Shop feature along with a massive list of fixes.

Besides a long list of named fixes and hundreds of improvements not mentioned in detail, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II got new features such as barbershops in Zhelejov and Kuttenberg. Now, players can visit those cities to change protagonist Henry’s hairstyle and facial hair. A fresh cut grants Henry a temporary charisma boost while shaving options range from clean-shaven to a full beard.

Another big new feature is Steam Workshop mod support. PC players can now dive into a full suite of modding tools that will allow them to tweak everything from combat mechanics to cosmetics.

Beyond the new features, Patch 1.2 focuses heavily on improving the game’s performance and ironing out issues that plagued earlier versions. The update addresses over 1,000 fixes, including equipment, animations and NPC behavior, as well as gameplay balance. For example, combat has been refined, with new facial animations for executions, better damage balancing, and adjustments to multi-hit combos.

Warhorse has also worked on horse mechanics improving the automatic follow feature and road magnetism for horses, making travel across the vast landscapes smoother.

This update also includes several localization fixes. New French voiceovers and improved Korean and Chinese translations are now on board. As for the audio, stuttering issues have been addressed on PlayStation 5, and audio responses have been refined in combat to make interactions feel more dynamic.

While this update brings plenty of content and fixes, it’s only the beginning, as Warhorse Studios has already teased more content on the way, including horse racing and a new Hardcore Mode. Paid story expansions like Brushes with Death, Legacy of the Forge, and Mysteria Ecclesia are also slated for release later this year, starting in the summer.

Within its first 24 hours, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II sold over one million copies, recouping its development costs on release day. In less than two weeks, sales approached two million copies. Also, the game peaked with concurrent players number 256,206 on Steam as of the time of writing.
