TimeSplitters Rewind launches in Early Access almost 13 years after reveal

The first-person shooter TimeSplitters Rewind launched in Early Access for Windows PC only on Nov. 23, 2025, almost 13 years since its reveal on November 29, 2012, when a group of fans had been given permission by Crytek to develop a TimeSplitters mod using CryEngine 3.
On its website, the game is described as a fan project that serves as a greatest hits collection of maps, modes, leagues, challenges, and story content across the original trilogy of TimeSplitters games, which include 2000’s TimeSplitters, 2002’s TimeSplitters 2, and 2005’s TimeSplitters: Future Perfect.
While TimeSplitters Rewind is not an official installment in the series, it plays a mixture of different roles including remake, compilation, and spiritual successor to the TimeSplitters trilogy.
As minimum system requirements, the title’s official website cites 8 GB of RAM, Nvidia GTX 760 GPU, Intel Atom C2750 2.40 GHz CPU, along with 35 GB of free disk space.
The early access version of TimeSplitters Rewind features 28 maps, online and offline story mode, 51 arcade leagues, 32 challenges, 96 characters, 41 weapons, 20 arcade game modes, a new game mode titled Team Elimination, an updated Last Stand game mode, along with online and offline arcade with bots and 10 players online.
