Clash of Clans launches Supercell MAKE, a creation contest for a new troop concept, with the winning design becoming a temporary in-game unit. The event is set to kick off on Feb. 21, with submissions open until March 7, promising a winner $2,500 cash prize and $1,000 for the runner-up.

After the closure of submissions, players will be able to vote on their favorite entries from March 7 to March 16. On March 28, the winner will be revealed, and their troop will officially join the ranks of Clash of Clans units.

The competition follows previous campaigns of Finnish developer’s MAKE initiative in games like Brawl Stars, where players created brawlers for a superhero-themed event.

To join the competition, participants are asked to submit a single image of their Temporary Troop in action, clearly showcasing key details. The submission must follow guidelines, including an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a preferred size of 3840x2400px in .jpg or .png format. Extra images, such as early sketches or alternative poses, are also encouraged to provide more depth to the design.

Earlier this February, Supercell hit $3 billion in revenue, according to a financial statement that the company’s CEO Ilkka Paananen published on the studio’s website.Clash of Clans was globally released on iOS on August 2, 2012, and on Android on October 7, 2013. In 2023, the game had approximately 65 million active players and as of 2024, Clash of Clans has generated over $355 million in in-app purchase revenue.
