Finnish studio Supercell hits $3 billion in revenue based on the financial statement that was published by Ilkka Paananen, the CEO of Supercell. The statement was posted on their website on February 11.

Paananen described the growth of Supercell in 2024 as something he’s never seen in his career. All of Supercell’s games grew by revenue and the studio has hit over 300 million monthly active players across all of their games. Aside from this, Paananen wrote that 2024 is the best year Supercell has ever seen.

Brawl Stars is at the forefront of this growth. The game grew more than quadruple based on its metrics, there were no hard numbers provided by the statement. Howeever, the metrics include players and revenue. According to Paananen, he had nothing to do with the growth of the game and was even the last one to know about it.

Squad Busters, another game that was mentioned in the blog, earned around $100 million in gross revenue during the first seven months of its release. The game also won Apple Game of the Year Award, however Paananen was quick to note that despite earning this much the game isn’t performing up to the studio’s aspirations.

Currently, Supercell is looking forward to the release of Project R.I.S.E. and mo.co. Mo.co is a monster hunting game that is currently in early development ,while Project R.I.S.E. is an action RPG Roguelite. Both games have no tentative release date as of writing.

Supercell is the studio behind Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars, and Clash Royale. In 2023, their revenue topped $1.75 billion which is a 4.2% decrease from $1.82 billion recorded in their 2022 statement.
