Bandai Namco has announced that Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Battle Destiny Remastered will launch on May 22, 2025, marking the first time the game will be officially available outside Japan. Originally released in 2012 for the PlayStation Vita, this remastered version brings updated visuals, a redesigned user interface, a new target lock-on system, and full English localization.

The remaster is set to release on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, with pre-orders for the Steam version already available. Bandai Namco confirmed that players will have access to over 100 mobile suits, each customizable for combat, offering an expanded selection compared to the original version.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Battle Destiny Remastered allows players to align with one of three factions—Earth Alliance, Z.A.F.T., or Archangel—engaging in missions based on iconic moments from the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED anime series. In addition to content from Gundam SEED and SEED Destiny, the game will include side stories from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Astray and C.E. 73: Stargazer, among others.

The original 2012 PlayStation Vita version of the game, Kidō Senshi Gundam SEED Battle Destiny, sold approximately 40,000 copies during its initial release period in Japan, ranking third in the Media Create sales chart at that time.

The Gundam SEED franchise has seen a resurgence in recent years, with Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom, a theatrical anime sequel, premiering in early 2024 to box office success in Japan. The franchise remains one of Bandai Namco’s strongest intellectual properties, with continued expansion across anime, video games, and model kits.
