Riot Games released an FAQ page regarding 2XKO’s upcoming closed beta, and it revealed that players who are lucky enough to receive a beta key will be able to invite up to three of their friends to try out the game.
In addition to this, those who have been invited to the Alpha Lab 1 or 2 can already play in the closed beta of the game. Those who weren’t and have no friends who can invite them will have to wait for an invitation to be sent to their email address.
2XKO’s beta will start on Sept. 9, 2025, worldwide at around 11 am PT. Riot Games said that it will first roll out in North and South America, with the other regions following suit. The game’s closed beta is only for PC. Progress in the closed beta will also not carry over to the actual launch, which means that everything will be wiped right before the game comes out of beta.
Recently, Riot Games revealed that the next champion to be incorporated into the game is Blitzcrank. There’s not much known regarding his moves or playstyle, but people are hoping that the champion will be a grappler, an archetype that the game is currently missing. A full reveal of the champion is expected on Sept. 2.
