On Aug. 21, 2025, Last Epoch entered its third season, introducing substantial changes to certain classes, a new mechanic called the Prime Hunt and new environments that players can explore. Additionally, the developers also announced that the game has sold over 3 million copies.
Last Epoch has undergone a “Hype Week,” during which the developers revealed new features and mechanics in bits and pieces, welcoming players upon the arrival of Season 3. This includes the addition of the tenth chapter, which will give players +1 in all attributes once completed. This bonus also stacks with the bonus from completing the ninth chapter of the game.
Players will also encounter a new mechanic called the Prime Hunt, which is similar to the Nemesis mechanic, according to the developers. This mechanic is a way for players to “discover powerful new items for their characters to equip in the form of Primal Uniques and tier 8 affixes that transform any Exalted item (with an unsealed T7 affix) into a Primordial Exalted.” Players will be able to encounter Primal Hunts in both Campaign and in the Monolith of Fate.
A month ago, the developers of Last Epoch, Eleventh Hour Games, announced that it has been bought by Krafton. In the press release, the developers mentioned that this partnership will open up opportunities and resources “to execute on our goal of creating the very best ARPG in the genre.”
Last Epoch is an action RPG released on Feb. 21, 2024. The game features time-travel as one of its plot devices. A Kickstarter campaign was launched in 2018, with the game’s beta being available in Steam Early Access by April 2019.
