ROG Xbox Ally is officially slated for release on Oct. 16, 2025, according to the announcement on Xbox Wire from Roanne Sones, CVP Gaming Devices and Ecosystem, Xbox.
Both ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X will launch with expanded day-one availability.
Created in partnership with ASUS, ROG Xbox Ally handhelds will allow players to launch games from Xbox, Battle.net, and other, yet unspecified, PC storefronts.
According to the announcement, on the release day, both models of ROG Xbox Ally handhelds will be available in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam, while in China, only Xbox Ally X will be available, with the Xbox Ally launching early in 2026.
Without specific deadlines, Microsoft states that other markets that sell ROG Ally series products, like Brazil, India, Indonesia, and Thailand, will get availability of handhelds soon.
