On July 30, Cygames, the developers of Umamusume: Pretty Derby, took to X to announce that they are now investigating the connection issues that have been plaguing the game for several days.
The developers did not mention a specific date as to when the issues popped up, but players have been complaining about it since July 29. A lot of them have also highlighted that the game’s global servers are the only ones affected, as Japanese servers experience smooth load times.
The Umamusume: Pretty Derby developers are one of the most generous gacha game developers in the world, giving their fans currency to be able to roll the gacha banners the fans wanted for free. As of now, the developers have not given a time frame as to when it will be fixed.
Cygames’ Umamusume: Pretty Derby has turned into a worldwide craze, just based on the game’s Steam.db numbers. The game is averaging around 40,000 players — on PC alone. Most of the game’s audience plays on their mobile phones. The game was released on June 26, 2025, after years of teasing its global audience regarding its projected release date.
