AMD’s Ryzen 99950X3D and 9900X3D CPUs Releasing in March alongside the Radeon 9000 Series
|
- Ryzen 9950X3D and 9900X3D CPUs are releasing towards the end of March.
- This aligns with the AMD Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT GPUs release, also in March 2025.
- Prices for the new hardware have not been revealed.
According to PC Gamer, AMD is planning to release the Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D CPUs in March of 2025. They referenced Cowcotland, a French Hardware website, as their source.
Cowcotland shared a picture from CES 2025 – a yearly event where the latest innovations in consumer technology and electronics are marketed. The picture teased Ryzen 9 series’ specs, alongside stating, “Available March 2025.”
This places the Ryzen 9950X3D and 9900X3D CPUs at a simultaneous release alongside the Radeon RX 9000 series, which were officially confirmed for a March debut by David McAfee, VP and GM of Ryzen CPU at AMD.
In an X post, McAfee stated, ““Radeon 9000 series hardware and software are looking great and we are planning to have a wide assortment of cards available globally. Can’t wait for gamers to get their hands on the cards when they go on sale in March!”
A simultaneous release for the new generation of hardware is not atypical for AMD – a trend AMD follows to capitalize on consumers’ desires for a full system upgrade. They followed this release trend for their Radeon RX 7000 and Ryzen 7000 series in late 2022.
As of February 3, there are no price reveals from AMD for Ryzen 9950XD and 9900X3D, but here are their specs:

- Cores / Threads: 16 / 32 5.7 GHz

AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D
