Ubisoft Announces Assassin’s Creed Shadows x Dead by Daylight Collaboration

Revealed in a social media post, the Assassin’s Creed Shadows x Dead by Daylight collaboration will take place on May 27. The announcement was shown alongside a short video where the playable characters from Assassin’s Creed Shadows are shown by a campfire with a menacing samurai posing in the foreground. 

The exact nature of the collaboration remains unclear. The announcement was made on Assassin’s Creed Shadow’s X account, while Dead by Daylight reposted it. Assassin’s Creed Shadows teased big updates slated for late May during its initial Year 1 Post Launch roadmap, highlighting its first special collaboration. The Dead by Daylight collab is likely the one referenced in the initial roadmap—a speculation shared by PC Games. 

“Behaviour Interactive posted a week-by-week look at the game’s May content shortly after Ubisoft’s announcement, and it makes no mention of Shadows at all,” PC Games shared. They believe the collaboration will take place on Assassin’s Creed Shadows rather than on Dead by Daylight. 

“So if you’d been hoping for Yasuke and Naoe outfits in Dead by Daylight, I wouldn’t hold your breath. It looks like there’s going to be some sort of DBD quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows instead.”

Assassin’s Creed Shadows reached 1 million players on its launch day and exceeded 2 million within two days of release. As of March 27, 2025, the game has surpassed 3 million players across all platforms, according to Ubisoft.
