Bungie’s Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate Livestream Teases Next Three Expansions

- The subsequent expansion is Renegades, a Star Wars-inspired expansion releasing sometime in December of 2025.
- Shattered Cycle and The Alchemist, the next two expansions, release in 2026.
Bungie held a livestream event where it showcased Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate, the upcoming expansion for the looter shooter, alongside the next three expansions that will follow thereafter. Edge of Fate officially releases on July 15, 2025. Bungie debuted Rite of the Nine on May 6, an update that added new difficulty options for three preexisting dungeons.
Of the three additional expansion updates teased, Renegades is the only one with a relatively set release schedule. Set to debut in December, Renegades is directly inspired by Star Wars, a massively popular title that has been seeing collaborations in other franchises as well.

According to the official broadcast, Bungie will no longer charge for seasonal content. Those who purchase the latest expansion for Destiny 2 will not need to pay more to experience the story. Preorders for The Edge of Fate expansion are now available.
Destiny 2 is a free-to-play first-person shooter whose gameplay emphasizes fluid multiplayer gunplay. The game is available on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
