- Devolver Digital announced Mycopunk, a first-person co-op shooter.
- The game has a Steam page up with a demo available for players to download.
- Mycopunk has no concrete release date, but it’s expected to release this year.
Devolver Digital announced its first-person co-op shooter Mycopunk on April 28, 2025. The game is a mission-based shooter where players fight against fungi that took control of the planet.
A wide variety of weapons and tools are available at the player’s disposal. It also boasts a “one-of-a-kind grid-based upgrade system” that players can utilize to create really powerful weapons. According to PC Gamer, the robots in the game have their own abilities and movement styles.
Players can fill typical RPG roles with the bots. For example, Glider has rockets that damage enemies but heal friendlies. Eurogamer mentioned that players can use the same characters, it doesn’t matter if another player has already picked it.
Regarding missions, players can select them using a terminal in their spaceship. The interface looks a little similar to Helldivers 2, where a globe is present and players can just click what mission they want to tackle and head off.
Mycopunk has a Steam page up already, with a free demo accessible to interested players. The developers have not announced when the game is coming out, however, a release date of 2025 is present on the Steam page indicating a release this year.
