Following its unlaunch and drop back to beta in July 2025, Splitgate 2’s relaunch is scheduled for December 2025, after the conclusion of its second beta on December 4, 2025.
The announcement was made by the title’s developing and publishing studio, 1047 Games, on Nov. 24, 2025, via a post on the game’s official Steam page.
Splitgate 2 was returned to beta on July 22, 2025, after it lost over 80% of its Windows PC player base within less than two months of its initial launch on June 6, 2025.
Before unlaunch, the studio and its flagship title struggled with layoffs and reputational losses because of its CEO’s controversial public statements.
As of the time of writing, playable on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, Splitgate 2 has a “Mixed” rating on Steam with 19,632 reviews and a peak of concurrent players of less than 500 in the last three months, according to SteamDB.
