Stellar Blade’s sequel was officially confirmed as a multiplatform title by franchise developer Shift Up. According to the announcement from Shift Up’s CEO on Aug. 21, 2025, Shift Up is conducting large-scale open recruitment for the development of the game.
“Aiming for release on various platforms, including consoles and PC, the game will inherit the original IP’s stylish action and narrative-driven worldview from its predecessor, delivering an evolved action experience,” reads the translation of the announcement, powered by DeepL.
Published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, the original Stellar Blade was initially launched on April 26, 2024, as an exclusive for PlayStation 5, followed by a PC port released on June 11, 2025. Since launch the game received two DLCs: one in collaboration with NieR: Automata and the other with Goddess of Victory: Nikke.
Stellar Blade follows the story of Eve, who was deployed from the Colony to a post-apocalyptic Earth with her squad to fight the Naytibas, monstrous creatures that forced humanity to abandon their planet.
