On Nov. 18, 2025, Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics announced that Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is finally available on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. This is the first time the game will be available on any Nintendo console.
The developers also said that the definitive edition includes all of the DLCs, the “Tomb Raider: The Beginning” comic, a mini-art book and a developer video series titled “Final Hours of Tomb Raider.” Additionally, the developers pointed out that the game will have improved graphics, added control features and a multiplayer mode.
Aside from a 10% launch discount, those who own Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft or Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered on the Nintendo Switch are eligible for 10% more, which can stack. If the players have the two, they get a 30% discount.
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition was released in 2014 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One; a PC version followed 10 years later.
The game puts the players at a time when Lara Croft was embarking on her very first archeological expedition, which is considered to be her origin story.
