The third-person PvPvE extraction shooter Arc Raiders reached a new all-time peak of 481,966 concurrent players on Steam on Nov. 16, 2025, surpassing the previous record of 462,488 concurrent Steam players it set on Nov. 9, 2025.
Developed and published by Embark Studios, Arc Raiders launched on Oct. 30, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Set in the distant future on Earth, mysterious and deadly “ARC” robots have taken over the surface, forcing humanity to live underground. The game allows players to assume the role of one of the Raiders, those who choose to go above ground, also known as “the topside,” to collect resources during short runs on the topside, which then will be sorted with the assistance of their roosters for the welfare of the underground city Speranza.
The title hit the mark of 700,000 concurrent players across all platforms and sold more than 4 million copies worldwide in less than a month since launch.
As of the time of writing, the title has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam with 90,048 reviews.
Meanwhile, on the American review aggregator Metacritic, the title’s PC version has a Metascore of 86 points based on 56 critic reviews. Its PlayStation 5 counterpart has a Metascore of 84 points based on 16 critic reviews, and the Xbox Series X version has 88 points based on 5 critic reviews and a “Generally Favorable” user score of 8.1 based on 810 ratings.
