Release of the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, a remaster of the 2012 third-person hack-and-slash zombie title Lollipop Chainsaw, was rescheduled from November 2025 to early 2026.
According to the official announcement from Dragami Games, the remaster’s publisher and developer, the delay will allow them to launch the title’s physical and digital versions simultaneously and implement a Nintendo Switch 2-exclusive Gun Shooting mode.
Original Lollipop Chainsaw, developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and published by Kadokawa Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, was created in collaboration between game designer Goichi Suda and filmmaker James Gunn. The game was released in 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
In 2024, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP remaster brought the game to the original Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
The game follows the story of Juliet Starling as she goes to the front park of San Romero High School on her 18th birthday to meet her boyfriend Nick Carlyle, when a zombie outbreak occurs, leading to Juliet fighting them off on her way to meet Nick.
