Krafton launches voluntary resignation program for its employees

Krafton is soliciting voluntary resignations from its employees after shifting direction to becoming an “AI first” game company.
According to a report from Business Korea, on Nov. 12, 2025, publisher behind such titles as PUBG: Battlegrounds, The Callisto Protocol, and Inzoi, announced internally that it would implement a voluntary resignation program effective immediately, offering payments to those who choose voluntary resignation based on their years of service.
Krafton was created in 2018 to serve as the parent company for Bluehole, founded by Chang Byung-gyu in Seoul in March 2007, and its subsidiaries.
Calculations of the compnesation according to the report:
- 1 year or less – 6 month salaries;
- 2 years or less – 12 month salaries;
- 5 years or less – 18 month salaries;
- 8 years or less – 24 month salaries;
- 11 years or less – 30 month salaries;
- more than 11 years – 36 month salaries.
This announcement followed Krafton’s strongest quarterly results to date since the company’s establishment, with Q3 2025 revenue of 870.6 billion won (about $594 million).
Through the third quarter, the company’s cumulative revenue reached 2.407 trillion won, which is about $1.65 billion, with operating profit hitting 1.052 trillion won, which is approximately $718 million, making it the first time in Krafton’s history that cumulative operating profit for the third quarter surpassed 1 trillion won.
