Dynasty Warriors: Origins Visions of Four Heroes slated for January 2026 launch

On Nov. 11, 2025, Dynasty Warriors: Origins finally revealed its upcoming major DLC, Visions of Four Heroes, and it’s slated for a Jan. 22, 2026, launch. The new DLC will add new stories and weapons to the base game.
According to a press release, the DLC will focus on four unexplored characters in the base game: Zhang Jiao, Dong Zhuo, Yuan Shao and Lu Bu. The new stories are going to focus on “what if” scenarios, allowing players to discover new sides of the legendary heroes.
Regarding new weapons, the developers are adding the Bow and the Rope Dart. Existing weapons will also receive new updates, arts and skill panels and will even have their trait level cap increased. The developers are also adding a new mode called the Training Ground, for players to battle hard bosses while also practicing their skills.
Preorders will gift players an exclusive outfit for the protagonist, the “Yellow Turban Attire.” However, this will only be available for a limited time.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins was released in January 2025, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version also releasing at the same time as the upcoming major DLC.
In late September this year, Koei Tecmo also revealed that it is remastering Dynasty Warriors 3.
