On Nov. 11, 2025, Dota and Monster Hunter announced a collaboration in which Dota 2 will receive Monster Hunter goodies, including a Palico courier with craftable costumes and a pet Poogie with craftable outfits.
Aside from the ones mentioned, new sets, pets, in-game hunt and crafting system, as well as new monsters, are also going to be added. The core version of each hero set will be available to all Dota 2 players for free.
They can be crafted after players have gathered enough materials from hero hunts. A Hero Atlas will also aid them in tracking their progress, exploring hero lore and gathering dispatches. The developers said that this Hero Atlas was written by Goodkind, Axe’s loyal scribe.
Additionally, those who want to pay can get the Expedition Pack, which includes usable Monster Hunter monsters. Dragon Knight can turn into Rathalos, and Bullfango will be available for Beastmaster. A Monster Hunter music pack will also be included in this pack.
The event will run for three months and end in February 2026. After that, it’s unknown whether players will be able to collect more materials for their armor sets.
Dota 2 is a popular multiplayer online battle arena developed by Valve and released in 2013, while Monster Hunter is a Capcom franchise consisting of action RPG games, where the main gameplay is, as the title suggests, hunting monsters, gathering materials and crafting gear.
