Rainbow Six Siege X Season 4 to improve remaster of an operator, rework maps, and more

Ubisoft published a preview of numerous upcoming features for the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege X Y10S4 update, teasing a new weapon, map reworks and an operator remaster. The core purpose of the update is to revamp major content and core systems.
There is still no release date for Y10S4, but it could be announced during the Rainbow Six Siege X Season 4 full reveal, scheduled for Nov. 16.

ROADMAP UPDATES
[OPERATOR REMASTER] ATTACKER
- Status: Confirmed for Y10S4
- A current operator will be getting the remaster treatment in Season 4, bringing an updated gadget and loadout.
[NEW WEAPON] NEW CROSS-OPERATOR WEAPON
- Status: Confirmed for Y10S4
- The upcoming operator remaster will arrive with a new weapon, further refreshing their loadout.
- This new weapon will also be made available to a select number of operators.
[MAJOR FEATURES] MAP FULL REWORK
- Status: Confirmed for Y10S4
- The first modernized full map rework will be coming in Season 4 and joining the Ranked pool.
[MAJOR FEATURES] NEW MODERNIZED MAPS
- Status: Confirmed for Y10S4
- Two modernized maps are coming in season 4.
- As with previously modernized maps, this includes a visual overhaul and the addition of destructible ingredients that you’ve seen in other modernized maps like Chalet and Clubhouse.

[MAJOR FEATURE] RANKED MATCHMAKING IMPROVEMENTS
- Status: Confirmed for Y10S4
- Changes are coming to Ranked matchmaking based on your feedback which will increase fairness and consistency.

- Status: Confirmed for Y10S4
- Testing Grounds will be a brand-new playlist for all platforms, built to explore new ideas, gather your feedback, and shape the future of Siege, together.
- First Testing Grounds topic: Speed & Armor.
[BALANCING] HARD BREACH, DSEG, & MORE
- Status: Confirmed for Y10S4
- Hard Breachers will receive balancing changes alongside an overhaul of the Disable State for Electronic Gadgets (DSEG) System, with more to be announced in the Y10S4 season reveal.
[R6 SHIELDGUARD] SECURITY IMPROVEMENTS
- Status: Confirmed for Y10S4
- R6 ShieldGuard will receive a boost in how often updates are deployed.
- We continue to actively address the increase in cheating felt in-game.
[ANTI-TOXICITY] ABANDONMENT PENALTY IMPROVEMENTS
- Status: Delayed to Y11
- Receiving an abandonment penalty due to a game crash or disconnection can be frustrating, and to this end our team is developing solutions to ensure that where possible, unfair penalties are cancelled.
[ANTI-TOXICITY] ADDITIONAL REPUTATION SYSTEM ACTION DETECTIONS
- Status: Delayed to Y11
- The Reputation System will be updated to increase the amount of actions that can be detected and evaluated when calculating Reputation Standings.
- This will help give us an improved view of player actions and the impact that they’re having on other players, while bringing further accuracy to Reputation Standings.
[TRAINING & ONBOARDING] ENLISTED & FIELD TRAINING AI ALLIES
- Status: Confirmed for Y10S4
- Adding AI Allies to both Enlisted and Field Training to give you the real squad experience while training.
[TRAINING & ONBOARDING] TARGET DRILL: MOVING TARGETS
- Status: Confirmed for Y10S4
- Addition of moving Defender targets to Target Drill.
[TRAINING & ONBOARDING] TRAINING PLAYLISTS: MINI-MAP
- Status: Confirmed for Y10S4
- Introducing a new Mini-map feature in training playlists to help aid navigation and learning.
