Gunzilla Games CEO hints at first-person POV coming to company’s third-person shooter Off the Grid

A screenshot revealing the first-person point of view in the Web3 cyberpunk-themed shooter Off The Grid was reposted by the CEO of the game’s developing and publishing company, Gunzilla Games, from the title’s ambassador and content creator Eastn7, on X (formerly Twitter) on Nov. 6, 2025.
Vlad Korolev, head of the studio behind Off The Grid, commented on the repost with the phrase, “Yes. We can.”
Initially launched on Oct. 8, 2024, Off The Grid is playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Set in a cyberpunk dystopia where cybernetically augmented contestants participate in a televised bloodsport on an isolated island called Teardrop Island, using futuristic military weapons and equipment, Off The Grid offers its players both PvE and PvP encounters.
The game was envisioned by Neill Blomkamp, the film director and screenwriter behind cyberpunk-themed movies such as 2009’s “District 9,” and 2013’s “Elysium,” and 2015’s “Chappie”. Off The Grid features a 60-hour narrative campaign, supported by a sci-fi cinematic series titled “Off The Grid Cinema,” which, as of now has two episodes, Switcher and Vincent.
As of the time of writing, the title has a “Mixed” rating on Steam with 1,565 reviews, along with a 3.9-star rating out of five on the Epic Games Store, and an all-time peak of 13,665 players, according to SteamDB.
