In the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension DLC, the player is transported to another dimension through the powers of Hoopa, the Legendary Pokémon. Within this dimension, powerful Pokemon that will test even seasoned veterans spawn. The level cap for Legends: Z-A is increased to 150. The teaser trailer, published on Nov. 6, also showcased various new characters set to join the narrative.

Among the new characters is a mysterious girl named Ansha, a talented donut chef who can make berries into donuts for Hoopa to eat. Feeding Hoopa awakens its powers, so it can open distortions and allow the player to enter new pockets of hyperspace. Using the berries found in hyperspace allows the player to make even more effective donuts. 

Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension DLC releases on Dec. 10, and will cost $29.99. The base game costs $59.99 for the base Switch version and $69.99 for the Switch 2 Edition. 

Pokémon Legends: Z-A had the biggest launch of a physical video game in the United States since 2023’s The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. During the first week of release, the title sold around 5.8 million copies worldwide. As for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it sold over 10 million copies worldwide during its first three days of release and became the fastest-selling game in the history of The Legend of Zelda Series. 

Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sold an estimated 1.49 million copies in Japan, including 872,552 for the Switch version and 612,905 for the Switch 2 version. The combined sales of 1,485,457 copies surpassed the Japanese launch-week sales of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which sold 1,424,657 units.
