Europa Universalis V reportedly sold around 200K pre-order copies, according to analysts

On Nov. 5, 2025, Alinea Analytics revealed that it estimates Europa Universalis V to have gotten around 200,000 pre-orders on Steam, leading it to have its current 77,000 concurrent players peak at its launch on Nov. 4, 2025.
The analytics company also mentioned that the game debuted with 100% critic recommendation and a mostly positive 73% user rating on Steam. Despite this, the game’s Chinese and Russian reviews are more mixed, and those languages constitute 24% of the game’s total reviews on Steam.
Alinea Analytics revealed that Turkey has ranked in the top three countries that have wishlisted the game. The company did not reveal the other two countries that entered the top three wishlisters of Europa Universalis V. Finally, they also mentioned that during its launch, the game stayed as the number one title on the global top sellers chart for eight hours.
Europa Universalis V is a grand strategy game developed by Paradox Interactive. As hinted by the game’s name, this is the fifth entry in the Europa Universalis line of games, which are Paradox’s most complex strategy games, according to various reviews. The game is only available on PC.
