The developers added that Pocketpair will be helping them with marketing and promotions, helping them get the word of Cassette Boy out to more people. The developers have also released a new announcement teaser celebrating the occasion.
Based on the game’s visuals, Cassette Boy appeals to those yearning for retro graphics. However, it’s worth noting that while the game looks 2D, it’s actually 3D, as pointed out by the developers.
The game also has something called The Schrödinger System, and the developers explained it by saying that “what you can’t observe doesn’t exist. In other words, the only thing that matters is what you can see on the screen.”
Cassette Boy is a puzzle action RPG developed by Wonderland Kazakiri. The game has a page on Steam, with users able to wishlist it since June 10, 2024. It has won awards from BitSummit 2024, an indie game festival in Japan, receiving the “Vermillion Gate” award, which is the highest award that the festival has to offer.
