An AI-generated image of the saluting US President Donald Trump, dressed as Halo protagonist Master Chief Petty Officer John-117, colloquially known as Master Chief, was published by the White House on X (formerly Twitter) on Oct. 27, 2025.

The picture came as a response to he humorous post by GameStop about the end of the console war, in relation to the news of Halo: Campaign Evolved, a full remake of Halo: Combat Evolved, coming to PlayStation 5 in 2026.
It seems that despite missing the Nobel Peace Prize in 2025, which was awarded to Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, President Trump doesn’t miss a beat and is ramping up the campaign for 2026 in the hope of getting the coveted award.
GameStop noticed the attention from Trump’s administration to their post and responded with a meme of their own creation.
