Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds sells over 1M copies, coinciding with Joker’s addition

On Oct. 23, 2025, Sega announced that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds had reached more than 1 million copies sold worldwide. This announcement coincided with the addition of Persona 5’s Joker to the game’s roster.
The developers also shared a few statistics regarding the game:
- Over 74.5 million times raced
- Played in over 31.5 million Grands Prix
- Played in over 13 million Ranked Matches
Regarding Joker’s addition to Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, just like Minecraft’s collaboration, it included a few additional items and songs to the game. Here’s the full list of the added features:
- Joker as a playable character
- Arsène Wing (Joker’s vehicle)
- Three new songs
- Take Over
- Wake Up, Get Up, Get out There
- Victory
- Special emotes and sound.
Starting Oct. 24 until Oct. 27, the game will be celebrating the new character addition by holding a Joker Festival. Players can collect Festival Points during this time and be able to exchange them for exclusive rewards.
Joker’s addition to Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is free, which means that players simply have to download the DLC and he should be playable alongside his vehicle. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds was released on Sept. 26, 2025, for the PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and the PC.
