A recent datamine of the EA app revealed new Battlefield 6 content, codenamed Granite, set for release on Oct. 28, 2025, the same day Season 1 starts, according to the trusted X news account ModernWarzone, which primarily focuses on Battlefield and Call of Duty news.
ModernWarzone’s post claims that it could be a Battle Royale mode, while in an October 2025 community update, the game’s developers hinted at the upcoming new Battlefield take on Battle Royale.
Season 1 of Battlefield 6, consisting of three waves of free post-launch content, will be rolling out through December 2025.
Developed by Battlefield Studios and published by Electronic Arts, the title was released on Oct. 10, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC.
Battlefield 6 features a multiplayer mode along with a single-player campaign set between 2027 and 2028, centered around a conflict between a fractured NATO and a private military company, Pax Armata.
As of the time of writing, the game has a “Mostly Positive” rating on Steam, with 121,802 reviews and an all-time peak of 747,440 concurrent players, according to SteamDB.
