Key points

  1. The Korean mythology-inspired game Project TAL was revealed on Oct. 23, 2025.
  2. The game’s mechanics closely mirror Dragon’s Dogma, specifically the companion system.
  3. Project TAL is expected to be released in 2027 for PC and consoles.

On Oct. 23, 2025, PlayStation uploaded a gameplay trailer on its official YouTube channel, revealing Project TAL, a Korean mythology-inspired open-world game that features players fighting against big monsters with a party of adventurers.

The gameplay has drawn comparisons to Dragon’s Dogma — e.g., how party members interact with one another in battle. There’s a clear designation of standard tanking and damage roles, at least in the trailer that was shown.

According to a press release that accompanied the trailer, the game is going to be a single-player action RPG.

The game’s combat is expected to be technical, with some features being tactical counterattacks and skill combos that can be performed with companions.

The developers also revealed that there will be a companion system and that each companion will have unique abilities, personalities and combat roles, essentially fulfilling the MMORPG trinity of Tanks, DPS and Healers or Support.

Although the game is already generating excitement, the developers are aiming for a release in 2027 for PC and consoles.
