The announcement of the postponement was revealed via a post on the official website of the title’s developer, Frogwares, on Oct. 21, 2025.
The Lovecraftian sequel to 2019’s The Sinking City is set to be released for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X|S.
Set in the city of Arkham, impacted by a supernatural flood during the 1920s, the upcoming game will feature a standalone story from the previous title and will be a semi-open world survival horror with a focus on combat and exploration.
Earlier in 2025, Frogwares released the remastered version of The Sinking City, powered by Unreal Engine 5, which, as of the time of writing, has a “Mostly Positive” rating on Steam with 1,802 reviews.
