The advancements, if progressed as according to EA and Stability AI’s roadmap, will accelerate visual storytelling and allow artists and developers to refine gameplay experiences with greater scale.
EA stated that, together with Stability AI, they are amplifying creativity, providing artists, designers, and developers the power to “dream bigger and build more.”
“By embedding our 3D research team directly with EA’s artists and developers, we’ll unlock the next level in world-building power. This kind of progress is only possible through deep partnership, where scientists and creators work side by side,” CEO of Stability AI Prem Akkaraju stated in the official announcement post.
Stability AI is an artificial intelligence company leading in open-source generative AI. The company is known for developing the text-to-image model Stable Diffusion.
As for EA, it was recently acquired for $55 billion. EA markets the acquisition as a push forward and as a moment of powerful recognition of EA’s remarkable work.
